Job Description:           

This employment opportunity will be to serve as the Account Clerk. Under direction performs a variety of routine, repetitive, noncomplex clerical tasks which involve computing, classifying, verifying, and recording numerical data and the reconciliation of accounts, records, and documents to keep sets of financial records complete; does other related duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:              

  • Follow policies and procedures established by the Department/Division/State
  • Performs varied clerical tasks; arithmetic calculations and tabulates by hand or with the aid of machines
  • Prepares records related to Child Care Provider payment disbursements
  • Examines and verifies checks and compares attendance logs for accuracy and completeness
  • Perform simple payment reconciliation from Attendance Logs to the EPPIC system
  • Calculate, process, and enter manual claims, adjustments and payment requests into the EPPIC system
  • Refers errors, irregularities, and provider contractual issues to the Program Supervisor or Case Manager
  • Review Parent/Applicant/Provider Agreement and OMGEGA Support Information to verify rate and other contractual information.
  • Review termination notices for childcare in relation to Attendance Logs
  • Manage caseload of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) or Work First New Jersey (WFNJ) Providers
  • Examines and responds to Provider childcare payment inquiries and report findings to Business Manager
  • Gives routine information or technical assistance either in person, telephone or by email
  • May assist in collecting/compiling data for department
  • Participate in monthly quality assurance reviews of provider payments

Schedule:    Full time (40 hours/week).  

Education Requirements:    High School Diploma

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Outlook and Excel programs.
  • To be trained in DFD proprietary software; CARES, OMEGA, WLS and EPPIC

Salary: $42,000 / per annum
