BERGEN COUNTY CONFIRMS ALL POLLING LOCATIONS SAFE FOLLOWING FRAUDULENT BOMB THREATS

Officials emphasize there are no credible threats; all sites cleared and open for voting

HACKENSACK, NJ – Bergen County officials are reassuring voters that all polling locations across the County are safe and open following a series of fraudulent bomb threats made earlier today. Law enforcement responded swiftly, thoroughly checking each location and confirming that no suspicious items or credible threats were found.

Bergen County law enforcement continues to investigate these incidents, which appear to be malicious, intimidation-driven acts intended to disrupt the democratic process. Authorities have confirmed that there is no threat to public safety or to any polling place. Residents can be confident that law enforcement has taken all necessary steps to ensure polling sites remain safe and secure.

Every eligible voter in Bergen County has the right to cast their ballot freely and without fear. Any attempt to interfere with that right is shameful, and those responsible will be brought to justice.

Polls across New Jersey remain open until 8:00 p.m. tonight.

Bergen County stands united in protecting every voter and defending the integrity of our elections.
