MEDIA ADVISORY – OVERPECK COUNTY PARK – MONDAY

BERGEN OFFICE OF FOOD SECURITY HOSTS THANKSGIVING PRODUCE DISTRIBUTION WITH COMMUNITY FOOD BANK OF NEW JERSEY

WHAT:           Members of the media are invited to Overpeck County Park on Monday, November 17^th at 9:45 a.m. for the County’s Office of Food Security fresh produce distribution in partnership the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Over 90,000 pounds are expected to be sorted and distributed to over 40 food pantries in Bergen County. Produce boxes will include staples such as potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, apples and plums, and will be vital supplements to the already depleted food pantries leading up to the holiday.

WHO:              County Executive James J. Tedesco III, Commissioner Tracy Silna Zur, Assemblywoman Shama Haider, NJ Office of Food Security Advocate Executive Director Mark Dinglasan, Bergen County Office of Food Security, Community Food Bank of NJ, Representatives of the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, and local community officials
