REORGNIZATION CEREMONIES CONTINUE ACROSS BERGEN COUNTY

County Executive Tedesco Swears In Fort Lee Council Members, Congratulates Officials in Dumont, Fair Lawn, and Waldwick

HACKENSACK, NJ — Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III joined local officials and residents at reorganization ceremonies across Bergen County on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

In Fort Lee, County Executive Tedesco administered the oath of office to re-elected Council Member Ila Kasofsky, as well as re-elected Council Member Peter J. Suh. In Fair Lawn, Tedesco proudly congratulated newly elected Council Member Joseph Baldofsky and re-elected Council Member Josh Reinitz, who was also sworn in to continue his role as Deputy Mayor. County Executive Tedesco also congratulated Fair Lawn Mayor Cristine Cutrone, who was re-sworn as Mayor. In Fort Lee and Fair Lawn, County Executive Tedesco presented officials with Certificates of Commendation, as well as a Bergen County pin and the County Executive Challenge Coin, emphasizing the importance of fostering collaborative relationships between the County and its municipalities.

In Waldwick, County Executive Tedesco was represented by Deputy Chief of Staff Jared Lautz, who delivered Certificates of Commendation to newly elected Council Members Angela A. Smith and Alyson Courtney Wingate following their swearings-in to the Waldwick Council. In Dumont, County Executive Tedesco was represented by Deputy County Administrator Anthony Iacono, who delivered Certificates of Commendation to newly elected Dumont Council Members Lisa Rossillo and Maryann E. Russini, as well as re-elected Council Member Doreen Aponte.

“Across the County, public servants have stepped up and answered the call to serve their communities. It is energizing to see so many newly elected officials take their oaths of office for the first time,” said County Executive Tedesco. “I look forward to continuing our work with our municipal partners, as well as building strong relationships with our newly elected members, as we continue to ensure that Bergen County remains the best place in the nation to live, work, raise a family, and retire.”
