Bergen250 Presents: Bergen County Revolutionary War Roundtable: The Turncoat & The Patriot

Description: William Franklin, illegitimate son of Benjamin Franklin, was the last royal governor of New Jersey. John Fell led the local opposition to the British during that time. Although their paths probably never crossed, their dual lives provide a unique look at New Jersey in Revolutionary times. In honor of the 250^th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, noted local author, Jim Wright of Allendale, will talk about these two exceptional men – and their legacies in Northwest Bergen County.
