Bergen County has been awarded $319,400 in grant funding from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts to support arts and cultural programming that contributes to the vibrancy and quality of life of communities throughout Bergen County.

Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Board of County Commissioners today announced that Moody’s Ratings has assigned its highest short-term credit rating, MIG 1, to the Bergen County Improvement Authority’s $27.6 million County Guaranteed Lease Revenue Notes, Series 2026, which will finance construction of a new building on the campus of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.
Bergen County OEM is monitoring a storm system that will affect our area this afternoon through
Wednesday morning. Doppler radar is indicating thunderstorms producing heavy rain will begin to
impact Bergen County over the next few hours. These storms are likely to produce brief but severe
wind gusts, torrential downpours producing 1 to 3 inches of rain with localized areas possibly seeing 4
to 6 inches of rain. The most severe storms are predicted to impact Bergen County in the 6pm to 8pm
timeframe. Light rain and spotty thunderstorms are likely through the overnight hours into Wednesday
before this system is completely out of our area.

Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, members of the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, Parks Department officials, and local leaders today celebrated the grand opening of the new Overpeck Golf Course Clubhouse, completing a nearly $6 million investment in one of northern New Jersey’s premier public golf courses.
