On Thursday, August 14, the County of Bergen hosted its Annual Independence Day of Pakistan Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony in the Two Bergen County Conference Center in partnership with the Cultural Society of Bergen County, Love Pakistan, and Mom’s Food Pantry.

On Wednesday, August 13, the County of Bergen hosted a celebration in honor of Indian Independence Day at Two Bergen County Plaza, in partnership with Arya Samaj of New Jersey, EID Committee of New Jersey, Indo-American Senior Citizens Association of Bergen County, Inc., Hindu Samaj Temple of Mahwah, Indian Americans of Paramus, ISKCON of Bergen County, Kerala Cultural Forum of New Jersey, Milan Group Paramus, Ridgewood Indian Community, Riverdell Indian Association, and St. Peter Mar Thoma Church.

The Bergen County Parks Department announces that the Wibit Splash Zone at the upper lake at Darlington County Park will reopen on Friday, August 15. The popular Wibit Splash Zone attraction at Darlington Lake is the largest Wibit water obstacle course of its kind on the East Coast.
