County Executive James J. Tedesco, III announces the completion of a Feasibility Study of Shared Medical Examiner Services between Bergen, Passaic and Hudson Counties. For a copy of the study, please click on the link. Discussions are currently underway between the three counties to determine a course of action for the potential implementation of the combined tri-county Medical Examiner Office. This represents County Executive Tedesco’s vision for sharing services on a wider basis to enhance service and efficiency for all residents in the tri-county area.

Bergen County Addiction Recovery Program (ARP)
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has had an increasingly negative impact on the numbers of deaths due to Opioid overdose. But the Bergen County Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) is ready to help and is fully operational during this crisis. It is operating remotely by continuing to offer the following free services to any Bergen County residents who need help:
* Evaluation and referral to appropriate level of treatment;
* Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs; and
* Individual Substance Abuse Counseling.

Emergency Rental Relief Program
Since June 2021, the County of Bergen has been providing financial relief to eligible Bergen County residents who have been unable to pay their rent and/or utility payment due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
