National Weather Service Issues Flood Watch For Bergen County
Bergen County OEM is continuing to monitor a storm system that will affect our area, with rain, starting
later this morning and continuing through tomorrow morning. The heaviest rain will occur between
Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning (5pm -2am). Total rainfall is expected to be around 2 –
3 inches for the entire event.
ATTENTION K-8TH GRADE STUDENTS – Enter the WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH STICKER CONTEST
The Commission on The Status of Women together with our Junior Commission on the Status of Women, invite students to create artwork that represents the 2024 Women’s History Month theme, “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.”
Sticker ideas may include famous women, women that are personally important to you, important historical women, or what women’s
empowerment means to you.
RUTHERFORD HIGH SCHOOL WINS ANNUAL BERGEN COUNTY CONSUMER BOWL
On Friday, January 26th, the Bergen County Department of Public Safety’s Office of Consumer Protection hosted the annual Bergen County High School Consumer Bowl. The High School Consumer Bowl was established in 1997 as an educational competition for high school students across the state.
COUNTY FILES BRIEF TO JOIN NJ CONGESTION PRICING LAWSUIT
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners announce the County has filed an Amicus Brief in support of the State of New Jersey’s legal action against the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s proposed congestion pricing scheme.
