The Bergen250 Program, through the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, will be its second installment its Fall Series of Revolutionary War Roundtable presentations. History enthusiasts and curious minds alike are invited to a compelling evening presentation on one of New Jersey’s pivotal Revolutionary War battles. On Tuesday, October 8th at 7:00 PM, local historian Bob Gula will lead an engaging discussion on the Battle of Springfield (1780), shedding light on its strategic significance and legacy.

The Bergen250 Program, through the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, will be hosting 5 events throughout the month of October which will highlight both Bergen County’s Revolutionary History and its cultural contributions since our founding.

Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, joined by Commissioners Tracy Zur and Mary Amoroso, recently presented a ceremonial check to the Mayor and Council of Little Ferry for $136,548 from the 2024 Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund (OSTF). The grant will fund the installation of a new pickleball court at Losen Slote Creek Park, replacing the borough’s deteriorated field hockey court.

County Executive Tedesco, the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, Bergen Community College, and the County’s Latino American Advisory Board invite members of the media and the general public to attend Bergen County’s Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 5:30 PM.
