BERGEN COUNTY OFFERS FREE FLU & COVID-19 VACCINES FOR RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES
Appointments Available Through End of March at Bergen County Administration Building
HACKENSACK, NJ – Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco, III and the Board of County Commissioners, in coordination with the Bergen County Department of Health Services, are reminding residents that free COVID-19 and influenza vaccines are available for eligible children, adults, and seniors through the end of March.
Vaccination clinics are open to all aged 6 months and older who live, work, attend school, volunteer, or play in Bergen County. Clinics will be held on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through the end of March at the Bergen County Administration Building, One Bergen County Plaza, in Hackensack. No insurance is necessary, and appointments are required.
“Protecting the health and well-being of our residents is always our top priority,” said County Executive Jim Tedesco. “By offering free vaccines, we are making it easier for families, seniors, and individuals across Bergen County to access the care they need and protect those around them. I encourage everyone to take advantage of these clinics and help us continue building a healthier, stronger community.”
“Ensuring our residents have access to preventive healthcare is a fundamental responsibility of county government,” said Commissioner Vice Chairwoman Tracy Silna Zur. “By offering these vaccines free of charge and scheduling clinics during convenient evening and weekend hours, we are making it easier for individuals and families to protect themselves and their loved ones. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to proactive public health as we make sure every resident has the opportunity to stay protected.”
Vaccination remains one of the most effective tools in preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and complications from both COVID-19 and influenza. The Bergen County Health Department encourages residents to take advantage of these free clinics to protect themselves, their families, and the broader community.
