BERGEN COUNTY TO HOST ANNUAL ITALIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION AND FIRST-EVER DIWALI CELEBRATION THIS WEEK

WHAT: Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners invite members of the public and media to attend two upcoming heritage celebrations taking place this week at One Bergen County Plaza. The County of Bergen will host its Annual Italian American Heritage Month Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony, as well as its first-ever Diwali Celebration commemorating the Festival of Lights.

The ceremonies will recognize community members who have been instrumental to these cultural groups and will also feature performances. Refreshments will be provided.

WHERE:
Italian American Heritage Celebration will take place in the Piazza of the County Administration Building, (1 Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack, NJ, 07601).
Diwali Celebration will take place in the Conference Center of Two Bergen County Plaza, (2 Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack, NJ, 07601).

Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 12:30PM ­– Italian American Heritage Month Celebration
Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 5:30 PM – Diwali Festival of Lights Celebration
