MEDIA ADVISORY – HACKENSACK – AUGUST 13th to 15th

Bergen County to Host Cultural Events Celebrating Indian Heritage, Pakistani Heritage, and Korean Heritage

What:  Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners invite the general public and media to attend three upcoming heritage celebrations this week at One Bergen County Plaza. Ceremonies include: the annual Indian Heritage Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony, the Pakistani Heritage Celebration Flag Raising Ceremony and the Korean Heritage Celebration Flag Raising Ceremony.

The ceremonies will recognize community members who have been instrumental to these cultural groups and will also feature performances. Refreshments will be provided.

Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, at 5:30pm – Independence Day of India Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony
Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at 5:30pm – Pakistan Independence Day Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony
Friday, August 15th, 2025, at 11:00am – Korean Liberation Day Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony
