COUNTY EXECUTIVE TEDESCO ATTENDS REORGANIZATION CEREMONIES ACROSS BERGEN COUNTY
Swears-in Rochelle Park Committee Member Sean Smyth and Committee Leadership, Congratulates Council Members in Rutherford, Elmwood Park, Maywood, and Wood-Ridge
HACKENSACK, NJ — Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III joined local officials and residents at reorganization ceremonies across Bergen County this weekend.
In Rochelle Park, County Executive Tedesco administered the oath of office to newly elected Committee Member Sean Smyth. Tedesco also administered the oath of office to Rochelle Park Mayor Thomas Miller, as well as Rochelle Park Deputy Mayor Matthew Trawinski. In Rutherford, Tedesco congratulated Councilwoman Christie Del Rey-Cone and Councilman Dennis Mazone on their respective re-election and election. In Elmwood Park, Tedesco congratulated Councilman Francesco Fasolo on his re-election and Councilman Joseph Oswald on his election to the Elmwood Park Borough Council. In Maywood, Tedesco expressed congratulations and well wishes to Councilwoman Jacqueline DeMuro and Councilwoman Jacqueline Flynn on their re-election and swearings-in to the Maywood Borough Council. In Wood-Ridge, Tedesco congratulated Councilwoman Michele Mabel and Councilman Michael Donato on their re-election and swearings-in to their second term on the Wood-Ridge Borough Council.
At each ceremony, County Executive Tedesco presented Certificates of Commendation to the council and committee members in recognition of their service. Members were also presented with Bergen County pins and a County Executive Challenge Coin, emphasizing the importance of strong partnerships between Bergen County and its municipalities as they continue working together to serve residents in the year ahead.
“I was glad to attend reorganization ceremonies across the County this weekend, in what is a true representation of the dedicated public servants we have leading our communities,” said County Executive Tedesco. “2026 will be a year full of energy and opportunity. I look forward to working closely with our council and committee members as we continue providing for our residents and ensure that each of our municipalities are prepared for all that this year has in store for Bergen County.”
