HACKENSACK, NJ — Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III joined local officials and residents at reorganization ceremonies in the Borough of Bergenfield and the Borough of Bogota on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026.
In Bergenfield, County Executive Tedesco administered the oath of office to Council Member Buddy Deauna following his re-election, and congratulated Council Member Ora Kornbluth on her re-election and swearing-in to the Borough of Bergenfield Council. In Bogota, Tedesco congratulated Council Members Patrick McHale and John Mitchell on their swearings-in to the Borough of Bogota Council.
At both ceremonies, County Executive Tedesco presented Certificates of Commendation to each councilmember in recognition of their service and dedication to their communities. Tedesco also expressed appreciation for their leadership and emphasized the importance of strong partnerships between Bergen County and its municipalities as they continue working together to serve residents in the year ahead.
