DARLINGTON COUNTY PARK CLOSED THROUGH SUNDAY
Closed for Swimming and Recreation, Splash Zone Tickets to be Refunded

MAHWAH, NJ – Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III, the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, and the County Parks Department announce that Darlington County Park will be temporarily closed from noon Friday, August 8 through Sunday, August 10 due to the presence of harmful algae blooms in the water.
All water and non-water recreational activities will be unavailable during this time. The County apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the public’s patience and understanding.
The Bergen County Parks Department is working diligently to address the issue and reopen the park for water and non-water recreational activities as quickly and safely as possible. Guests who purchased Splash Zone tickets online will be automatically refunded for any affected sessions.
*Note a previous version of this release said the park closed on Thursday. The park closed as of noon Friday, August 8th.
