BERGEN OFFICE OF FOOD SECURITY HOSTS THANKSGIVING PRODUCE DISTRIBUTION WITH COMMUNITY FOOD BANK OF NEW JERSEY
Members of the media are invited to Overpeck County Park on Monday, November 17th at 9:45 a.m. for the County’s Office of Food Security fresh produce distribution in partnership the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Over 90,000 pounds are expected to be sorted and distributed to over 40 food pantries in Bergen County.

As the federal government shutdown stretches into its fifth week, leaving tens of thousands of Bergen County residents without timely SNAP benefits and federal employees without paychecks, the County of Bergen and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will host an emergency food distribution to support those impacted.
