Donations to the Shelter
If you wish to make a donation to the Shelter, we greatly appreciate your help.

The Shelter gladly accepts donations of the following items:
- Clean sheets, towels, blankets
- Newspaper
- Dog Crates
- Clean pet carriers
- Adjustable Martingale collars (small, medium & large)
- Dog Slip Leads (Mountain Dog brand preferably)
- Canned dog and cat food
- Unopened bags of dry cat and dog food
- Unopened bags of dog treats / bones
- Rabbit, guinea pig or hamster supplies, (treats, fresh veggies, Care Fresh bedding)
- Cat toys, cat trees, and scratching pads
- Plush squeaky dog toys
- Durable, rugged dog toys & rope toys for our tough chewers (Nylabone)
- Enrichment toys (i.e. Kong, Busy Buddy Twist-n-Treat, Buster Cube, Tug-a-Jug)
- Cat litter (non-clumping clay, unscented)
- KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer), canned or powdered
- Heating pads
- Enclosed kitten playpens
- Snuggle Safes (microwaveable heating disks)
- Pill Pockets
- Unscented baby wipes
- Shoe boxes or small boxes suitable for kitten litter box
- Wee-wee pads
- Yarn to be used to make homemade blankets
- Gift certificates/cards to Petco or Amazon
If you would like to make a monetary donation in memoriam, please mail your check payable to Bergen County to 100 United Lane, Teterboro, NJ 07608 and include the name of the person you wish to be remembered as well as the address where you would like a “thank you” and/or “remembrance” letter sent.
